1.4 Edit Menu

There are only two items in the Edit menu:

1. Copy

   Copy is used to copy highlighted TEXT from the screen to your clipboard.

   Follow these steps:

   1. Select an area of the screen by right-clicking on the upper left corner of the area to select and dragging to the lower right corner of the area.
   2. Use the Edit→Copy menu item to copy the selected text to the clipboard.

   
   

2. Paste

   Pasted is used to type into PLATO -arrow-s the text in the clipboard. Follow these steps:

   1. Copy some ascii text into the clipboard from any source.
   2. While at a PLATO -arrow- use Edit→Paste

   
   To enter multiple lines of text you need to be at a location where after an end-of-line is found in your clipboard text PLATO automatically brings up another -arrow-. Two such places are Insert mode in the Notes text editor or PLATO file editor.
