PlatoAccess (PlatoAccess.jar) is a Java implementation of a PLATO terminal emulator similar to PTerm. Like PTerm it also supports MicroTUTOR. It also has a number of extended features that can be invoked with the TUTOR -ascii- command and MicroTUTOR -ccode- command. These features include
- Drawing a filled or open Circle, Ellipse, or Arc in the terminal.
- Stylized lines supporting thick lines, dashed lines, fill βPolylinesβ, different line joint styles, and line end cap styles.
- A limited number of Fonts beyond the normal complement of Standard PLATO characters and charsets are available. If you use PlatoAccess to connect to Retro1 you will see an example of use on the WTP, Welcome to PLATO page.

- * courier (Monospaced)
- * sans (sansserif)
- * sans mono (monospaced)
- * century (serif)
- Standard PLATO text can be stylized as well with BOLDing, ITALIC, UNDERLINE, STRIKEOUT, SHADOW (checkerboard mask).
- Images (part or all of screen) may be saved in buffers and restored or shown in another location, with or without re-scaling. Images may be saved to and read from local disk files.
